5. The Spooky Halloween Spiderweb Wreath
Yarn is the perfect medium for creating eerie, delicate spiderwebs for Halloween. This project uses a dark, moody base and contrasting white yarn to create a graphic, eye-catching design that is more whimsical than genuinely frightening.
Begin by wrapping a flat wooden or wire wreath ring completely in matte black yarn. Once the base is covered, use a long strand of white or glow-in-the-dark yarn to weave a web across the open center of the wreath. Secure the main “spokes” of the web to the inner rim of the frame with hot glue, then weave a spiral outward from the center, knotting the yarn at each intersection. To finish, glue a couple of glittery plastic spiders onto the web and add a bright orange hanging ribbon for a pop of classic Halloween color.
