11. Pumpkin Staircase Cascade

Line every step with pumpkins — dozens of them, in every size and shade — and your porch becomes a harvest dream. Mix orange, white, green, and the trendy plum-noir hues. The trick is density: go generous or go home.

What You’ll Need

  • 15-25 pumpkins in varied sizes and colors
  • Small gourds and mini pumpkins to fill gaps
  • Faux autumn garland (optional)

How to Make

  1. Place large pumpkins at the base of the steps, alternating sides.
  2. Work upward with medium pumpkins, clustering two or three per step.
  3. Tuck minis and gourds into gaps so the cascade looks full.
  4. Weave faux garland along the railing to tie it together.
