2. Vintage Herbarium Botanical Sheets
Channel your inner 19th-century naturalist by creating authentic-looking herbarium sheets. Historically used by botanists to document plant species, these sheets combine scientific precision with vintage artistic charm.
Start with heavy, textured watercolor paper or handmade cotton rag paper with deckled edges. Arrange a single plant specimen—ideally showing the stem, leaves, and flower head—on the paper. Secure the plant using thin strips of linen archival tape or small dabs of neutral-pH glue. In the bottom right corner, write the botanical name, common name, date collected, and location in elegant cursive or using a vintage typewriter font. Frame the completed sheet in a simple dark wood or black frame.
