9. Resin-Cast Botanical Wall Plaques
Casting pressed flowers in clear epoxy resin preserves them in a crystal-clear, glass-like state that protects them from moisture and physical damage indefinitely. These heavy, glossy plaques can be hung directly on the wall or displayed on small ledges.
Select a silicone mold in your desired shape, such as a circle, oval, or arch. Mix your epoxy resin according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Pour a thin base layer of resin into the mold and let it partially cure until it reaches a tacky consistency. Arrange your pressed flowers face down onto the tacky resin; this prevents them from floating to the surface. Pour a second layer of resin over the flowers to fill the mold completely. Once fully cured, pop the plaque out of the mold, attach a heavy-duty adhesive picture hanger to the back, and hang.
