6. Glitter Gradient and Confetti Coasters
Glitter coasters are fun, festive, and highly customizable. To prevent your glitter from sinking directly to the bottom of the mold in a dense clump, it helps to understand how different glitter weights behave in resin. Ultra-fine glitters tend to stay suspended longer, while chunky glitters sink quickly. Using a slightly thickened resin (letting it sit in the cup for 15 minutes after mixing) also helps suspend glitter evenly.
To create a beautiful gradient or ombre effect, select three coordinating glitter colors, such as gold, rose gold, and pink. Mix each glitter into a separate small cup of resin. Pour the darkest color into one-third of the mold, the medium color into the middle, and the lightest color into the remaining third. Use a clean stir stick to gently drag the glitters across the boundary lines to blend them seamlessly together, creating a sparkling, seamless transition.
